COMPANY PHILOSOPHY

Rob Sauls, Sr. established his company in 1972.  In 1986, Rob Sauls, Jr obtained a loan from friends and purchased machines and clients from his father's business. The company started with only 25 machines and has grown to 400+.  After 28 years of being called Capital Foods, Inc.  it was time for change and rebranded the company under the name of Varsity Vending specializing in healthy vending and micro markets for the workplace.

Varsity Vending believes that honesty and integrity are core ingredients for success.  Our company believes that taking care of client's needs is paramount, and that deep consideration does trickle down to its employees.  We have had literally no employee turnover in the last 10 years.  This speaks volumes about our company as a quality place to work.  In addition to excellent employee retention Varsity Vending commands outstanding client retention with the majority of our clients being with us for 10+ years.

Varsity Vending believes in providing an in-depth understanding of our client needs and building unique solutions.  We are committed to superior service, products, and people, and most importantly optimizing the success of the relationship.

Lastly, Varsity Vending believes in giving back to makes regular contributions to area charities representing important community causes including a homeless shelter, "Project Echo".  We are also a proud member of the Calvert Chamber of Commerce.

Rob absorbed the ins and outs from shadowing his dad on all aspects of the vending machine trade. In 1986, Rob obtained a loan from friends and purchased machines and clients from his father's business.  After 28 years of being called Capital Foods, Inc.  Rob decided it was time for change and rebranded the company under the name of Varsity Vending and began to specialize in healthy vending with healthy snacks. Rob is a dedicated father to two sons and a daughter and enjoys fishing, golf, and coaching basketball.

Tom

Route: Anne Arundel and PG County

Tom has been a route driver for Varsity Vending for 20 years.  He has been with us so long because he likes the feeling of running is own store, the schedule is very flexible, and he has freedom to be on his own.  Tom's hobbies are fishing, crabbing, coaching youth athletics, and sports.  Give him a friendly how do you do when he pops in.

Billy has been with Varsity Vending for 18 years.  He helps us keep the machines up and running on all the routes.  He likes that his job allows him to meet people, that he is a part of a great team and that Varsity Vending is family owned and operated.  Billy's hobbies include softball and metal detecting.  If you stop by, ask him how is grandkids are and watch a smile grow ear to ear.
